Onze proefnotitie:
Bijna lichtgevend geelgroen. Breed uitwaaierend bouquet van limoen, kruisbes, grapefruit, ceder en toast. Intens, krachtig en exotisch van smaak vol gele grapefruit, passievrucht, ananas en limoen met vanille, ceder en brioche. Met een vette textuur, uitstekende fraîcheur, hoog concentraat en enorme lengte. Tien maanden gerijpt op barriques (50% nieuw) van Frans eikenhout. 60% sauvignon blanc, 40% sémillon. 13,5% alc. Lekker bij coquilles met Noilly Prat saus, gegrilde zwaardvis en langoustines.

Wealthy Scottish wine trader John Lewis Brown settled in Bordeaux shortly after the Revolution, in 1795. For the estate’s white first wine, just 5ha are planted to 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon – fermented in barrel and aged 8-10 months on the fine lees, 50% in new barrels and 50% second-use.
Andy Howard MW: Rich, mouth filling, complex palate with fine balance. Notes of wax, zesty lime and orange, subtle oak with spice notes. Great purity of flavour, very long. A good future ahead.
Tom Parker MW: Brings both a smoky and savoury character to the palate, which is pithy and textural more than fruit-forward. Intriguing and peppery, an esoteric style that moves its focus away from the prominence of fruit.
Tim Triptree MW: Intense passion fruit and guava with herbaceous, herbal notes. Full, opulent style with a creamy mouthfeel, persistent flavours and mouth watering acidity. Well balanced with good complexity for ageing.
