" This is the finest vintage of Dalem produced yet!"
Jane Anson (Bordeaux expert die woont en werkt vanuit de regio) noteerde: ‘These two Right Bank appellations aren’t the first that come to mind when you think of Bordeaux. But in terms of value and potential they should be’.
Jane Anson: “I’m a big fan of Château Dalem, on an excellent spot in Fronsac and made with great care and attention that comes through in the density of the fruit”.
Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider): " Sexy, silky, vibrant and fresh, the opulent character hits all the right notes...This is the finest vintage of Dalem produced yet! "
James Suckling: "An elegant nose of flowers, plums, red berries and cedar. It’s medium-bodied with silky texture. Shows balance and finesse, supported by polished tannins and a pretty drive. Lovely all around."

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Dalem has a deep garnet-purple color and compelling notes of blackberry preserves, wild blueberries and ripe, juicy black plums, with hints of dark chocolate, licorice and black olives. The full-bodied palate (15% alcohol) appears bright and fresh with the lively black fruits framed by soft, velvety tannins, finishing long and savory. Nicely done!

Much better in bottle than in barrel, you can tell this is going to be great just from the nose with all its red, black and blue fruits, flowers, licorice and wet earth nuances. Sexy, silky, vibrant and fresh, the opulent character hits all the right notes. The wine is concentrated, rich and deep, with freshness giving lift to the non-stop layers of perfectly ripe fruits. The silk and velvet finish just nails it. This is the finest vintage of Dalem produced yet! The wine is made from a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc . 94 Points
