Proefnotitie: Inktzwarte kern met paarse rand en nauwelijks kleurverval. Intens aroma met impressies van cassis, gerookt cederhout, rijpe zwarte bessen, kruidige tonen, grafiet en mokka. Ondanks dat de geur bijzonder verleidelijk is, stelt de smaak absoluut niet teleur door zijn genereuze impressies van cassis, bosfruit, pralines, ceder en Oosterse specerijen. Naast concentratie heeft de wijn ook een romige textuur, gecompleteerd, en dat is heel knap in toch een warme jaargang, met een prima fraîcheur die aanblijft tot laat in de finale. Een nog piepjonge La Tour de By uit een waarlijk groot jaar met een idem dito grote toekomst!

Deep ruby, purple reflections, brightening on the rim. Blackberries, ripe dark cherries, hints of herbs and nougat. Juicy, elegant, fine plum fruit, integrated tannins, mineral and lasting, blackberry confit on the finish. Shows length and certain ageing potential.

A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2022 La Tour de By reveals aromas of cassis, crunchy (al dente) blackberries and spices, complemented by a medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated mouthfeel with a juicy texture and lots of freshness. It's a bit firm on the finish.
