Decanter
93/100 punten
Generous and bright, a riot of lively but also concentrated and ripe strawberry and red cherry fruit with herbal-tinged raspberries and a softly appealing chalkiness that gives the texture and contrast with high acidity. Supple and nicely weighted, bold, still with some tension and focus. Nice potential with a good dose of savouriness on the finish in the form of dark chocolate, toast, coffee, sweet tobacco and graphite. Oenoconseil consultants.

Structured and compact and, at the same time, juicy and refined. Medium-bodied. Tannins are polished and fine with vivid fruit character.

(89-91)/100 punten
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 10% Petit Verdot, the 2022 Héritage Marc Pagès is from a plot of 1.5 hectares of old vines. It reveals aromas of smoke, fresh grapes, licorice, graphite, tobacco and cassis. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and deep, it’s richly textured with an underlying tannic structure and a characteristic Médoc grip.

A touch of oak, smoke, black pit fruits, flowers, and licorice form the core here. The wine is soft, round, medium-bodied, and fruity, with an open style, and plenty of dark red berries on the palate and finish, this is going to be easy to enjoy on release. The wine is produced from a parcel selection.
