De Gramadoelas Grenache Blanc komt uit de gerenommeerde regio Stellenbosch, bekend om zijn diverse bodems en invloeden van oceaan en bergen die bijdragen aan wijnen met distinctie.
Grenache Blanc gedijt uitstekend in de warme omstandigheden van de Kaap, waar de druif complexiteit en frisheid kan ontwikkelen. De 2022 jaargang kenmerkt zich door een zorgvuldige vinificatie, vaak met spontane vergisting en rijping op neutrale vaten, om de pure expressie van de druif en het terroir te behouden. Dit resulteert in een wijn die zowel rijkdom als precisie toont.
In het glas onthult deze wijn aroma's van rijpe citrusvruchten, groene appel en witte perzik, aangevuld met subtiele florale en kruidige tonen. De smaak is vol en gelaagd, met een levendige zuurgraad die de wijn frisheid en lengte geeft. Een minerale kern en een textuurrijke afdronk maken dit een uitstekende gastronomische begeleider.

The 2022 Gramadoelas comes from Grenache Blanc cultivated on shale and schistous soils in a continental microclimate. It spends nine months in used oak on the lees. The perfumed bouquet offers yellow plum, orange blossom and wild peaches. Lovely delineation. The palate is taut and mineral-driven on the entry, with a life-affirming sharpness and tension throughout this wine and a laser-like, saline finish. This is an outstanding expression of Grenache Blanc from a singular vineyard site.

The 2022 Gramadoelas Grenache Blanc, at 12.45% alcohol, is mineral-driven with notes of petrol, white peach, citrus, yellow apple, wet concrete and petrichor. Light to medium-bodied with good acidity, the palate is food-friendly and fresh, making it ideal for pairing with cheeses and seafood. It concludes with a long, dusty and subtly spiced mineral-laced finish. This wine aged for nine months in neutral French barrels. A total of 1,620 bottles were produced.
